Christmas in Avondale is a treasured Jacksonville tradition in the Avondale Neighborhood going back over 30 years. Every year the Avondale Merchant Association shuts down the streets of St. Johns Avenue, Dancy Street, Ingleside Avenue, and Talbot Ave and transforms into an magical holiday experience.
Many local residents visit this event every year and enjoy the opportunity to take part in a number of Christmas activities at no cost. The Merchants of the Shoppes of Avondale began the tradition years ago to give back to the community. Each year this event has grown with more activities and attendees.
